The following are some other types of challenges we’ve taken on many times of the last nearly 5 years.

1. Project and Challenge: A client called is with the need to have instructor’s materials written and produced, as they were currently behind schedule and desired our help finding and managing authors as well as producing the materials. At the mid-point, we were asked to prepare the content to be used in an online atmosphere and not in print.

Solution: We were able to quickly hire and manage the content creation. When the client switched gears to an online environment, we did, too, preparing their files in the new format. While this took extra time to “undo” the format and move into the new format, it and other projects like it for the same client were released successfully.

2. Project and Challenge: Recently we were asked by an educational publisher 6 times to take current, existing, printed content and map it or correlate it to a potential customer’s lesson plans and syllabi. The turnarounds are usually tight and the lesson plans often confusing.

Solution: We always outline for the client exactly what they’ve requested to make sure we’re on target. In these cases, the correlations were completed on time and delivered to the colleges in time for their class starts. As a result, the publisher was able to finalize their relationship with the college.

3. Project and Challenge: Organize and facilitate a focus group to foster a relationship between a publisher’s new sales force for a certain market segment and some very large potential customers.

Solution: Establish the goals of the focus group and the desired outcome of the discussions. Fostering new relationships means fostering trust between the parties. The customers needed to believe the publisher’s intentions were sound and that a timeline for customer satisfaction had been established. The focus group centered on what those items were while sharing and getting input from the potential customers what they would need in order to consider working more closely with this publisher. This sales force continues to thrive today but Triple SSS helped them get started in some of these elusive relationships as a neutral third party.

4. Project and Challenge: A client called to ask us to take over a textbook that had long sat on an office floor in the absence of a champion for it. Would we be that champion of this 600-page, 1000-photo product and determine the permissions status as well as prepare the manuscript for production as well as inspire confidence for the authors that their book would be published.

Solution: The art manuscript and permissions were sorted out and the book is being prepared for production. The authors became very comfortable with their Triple SSS associate and helped them build confidence in the project’s progress.

5. Project and Challenge: Triple SSS recently was asked to correlate or map content from texts and supplements to what could be used in an online courseware. It also involved identifying missing content and working with those authors providing the missing content.

Solution: While trailblazing with the client and with some stops and starts, Triple SSS found the right group of people to correlate and create reports that identified where missing content was needed. The next step was navigating the writers through the many templates required to be used. Yes, like a chapter template but more precise in requirements. The time and training required for each part involved (there were 4 products) was extensive, yet once again showed Triple SSS’s flexibility and stick-to-it-iveness.

6. Project and Challenge: Address for a client the rampant plagiarism in a manuscript. The client had identified the source but needed rewriting and paraphrasing to address the problem with a quick turnournd.

Solution: Triple SSS was able to turnaround the content within one week. Additionally, we identified a few other areas of plagiarism in the same manuscript and addressed those items as well.
